Wouldn't it be cool if when browsing the TV guild you could mark a show to watch (one that starts in the future) and gbpvr would pop up a reminder 1 minute before that show starts and change the channel and start watching the show?

I think my current cable box does that. like a show reminder.

has this been discussed before?

it already does
if you press play on your remote or ctrl+p on keyboard while in tv guide it will turn blue
**EDIT**im sure it used to pop up when the porgram was about to start it doesnt seem s to be working anymore
it turns blue but no popup

well I wasn't even aware the feature was there, but you are right... the program turns blue, but no pop up.

It use to be a feature in the old UI, but it was never really popular so I didnt bother implementing support for it when I rewrote the UI. It may return in a future release, but no immediate plans to do it.

if you do re-implement reminders, it would be great if it could also wake up machine like a recording...Smile
i liked it but it never actually worked for me right...dialog wouldn't ever pop up right..

I like this idea, because you could intend to watch the programme but when the pop up appears you could make the decision to record or watch.

That sounded better in my head, oh well
