Do I need a hard drive in the PCH to run MVPMCX2?

The DVD's are for the kids, and they love to watch them over and over.

Looks like I will leave it where it is at present and see what happens. I still need to confiugre the PCH, only just plugged it in, but something not quite right.

OK So I have just bought a PCH with a 200GB HDD.

Would it be worth removing the HDD and putting it in the server instead?

I was planning to copy all the kids DVD's to it so they could run from there, but this could also be streamed from the server I guess.

As I just got GBPVR installed last night, I have all of my kids DVD's and Blu Ray's ripped to the hard drive in the PCH.

Since my wife is not particularly fond of "tech," my hope is now to move all files to the PC, instead of having certain ones on the PCH, certain ones on the PC.

I need to do some more testing, make sure I can reliably stream uncompressed files without problems, but my goal is to remove the 1.5TB drive from the PCH and install in the PC.

So my long winded opinion FWIW is yes, it's worth it to put it in your PC for simplicity sake of keeping everything in one spot, assuming you can reliably stream.
