Yes, it protects at the category level.
Quote:OK, I see see check box now. It must be that if a movie is in a protected category, it wont show up in any other category either.....makes sense.
- The 'Plugin' tab, allows you to turn the feature on/off, and to set the password.
- See the 'Settings(2)' tab, 'Available categories list' for the individual category settings. For each category, there is a check box that allows password protection.
Quote:No, if there are no new movies, the "What's New" should not show up.OK, I put a new movie on the disc and it didn't show up .... I forgot, I have to load it into the DB first. Once you watch a movie, does it move out of the Whats New category?
Quote:Archive The 'Archive' directories relate to the Sync function. They are a list of archive locations that you'd move your recordings to. When you do a Sync, if a move is not found at the location in the db, it will scan for that movie in the Archive areas, if found, it will update the entry to the new location.
OK....so this lets you move files around and get the DB updates. You just have to tell it where to look. Sounds good.

B]Hidden[/B] is an attribute of a movie. In a sync, if a movie is NOT found, it can be marked as 'hidden' so it will not show up in the plugin list (see the Plugin Settings tab, Archive Locations section).
The hidden attribute is really only the title with @@ appended to the beginnng. You may display the hidden entries on the Manage Content tab by selecting the check box.
Do they show up with @@? When you check the "show hidden" button, do all the movies show up (not hidden + hidden) or just the hidden ones?
Quote:Offline is an attribute of a movie. Some users requested that rather than hiding an entry, it should be marked as 'offline' instead. They additionally wanted some sort of offline id for their cataloging needs. This id is strictly manually entered and has no real meaning to MovieWiz.
Like the Hidden attribute, Offline can be automatically set during a Sync if the movie is not found (see the Plugin Settings tab, Archive Locations section).
I see it shows up the DB listing as offline, then you can manually add an ID. Hmmm...wonder what they do with it then? How does that help?
Anyway, I really appreciate that explanation. Helps alot. I think I almost have what I need.
