weather plugin - alternative sources?

Hi
I know the weather plugin uses MSNBC which probably has accuate weather for most places. The problem I'm having is that the weather reports for Austalia (specifically Brisbane QLD) dont seem to be very accurate at all. For instance today all the local weather web sites (eg weatherzone.com.au) have us under the severest thunderstorms warnings, yet msnbc just have "cloudy", which in this case is definately wide of the mark.

Is there any chance of having alternative sources added as an option?

Jeff, the latest developer on this plugin, has had an extended leave of absence lately, so improvements are unlikely in the near future.
