pch hdd as recording directory trouble

i have 2 computers running gbpvr, i have one thats working using the hdd of the pch as the recording directory.the other one is showing user name troubles in the logs and wont record to the drive ive both computers recording service running as admin.setting service to run as admin was the trick to get the one working but the other still wont work. both are xp computers the one that wont work happens to be mce2005 dont kow if it matters. simple sharing is on on both. i also notice on the one that wont work when i try to browse the pch hdd im always prompted for the user name pass and on the one that works i dont have to enter it. any help appreciated.

Maybe you'd have more luck as a General Discussion since this is not a PCH problem, it is a general question on password protected networked recording directories.
