Looks like the two Hauppauge units that are listed in the Wiki for QAM compatible are both internal cards... So that leaves me with HDHR (which wont work with Analog) and the OnAir GT. Can anyone reccomend the OnAir GT or any other possibilities?

The Hauppauge HVR-1950 is external, has hardware encoder for analog, and qam/atsc tuner.

Some USB options (with QAM) here.
Some non-USB options (with QAM) for the laptop here Advantage of USB option is they would work even if you replace laptop with regular desktop PC. Not sure how many of these have GBPVR support but I have seen some threads on the Hauppauge 950Q in this forum. Plus newegg had that one on sale last week for around 49.99, so its possible they (or some other retailer) might have a lower price sometime soon that could save you some money. Good luck, -Topper
