A Noob here, asking for advice on why nothing shows up when I select "Live TV". I have used MCE for years, and recently decided to move away from it. I am testing both MediaPortal and GBPVR. I was able to get Live TV working in MediaPortal.

I ensured that no other PVR software was running simultaneously (MCE or MediaPortal). I have all my codecs installed, including MPV Video and MPA Audio Decoders selected:

I think I got the EPG stuff working properly. I have been able to view other videos (avi and mpg) in the PVRX2 application. When I click on "Live TV", the screen goes blank for a few split second, then back to the main window. I looked in my log files, and found no lines with "error" in them.

Tuning Assistant shows all the channels just fine. I'm not sure how to translate that to Live TV, though. Finally, I've attached my FilterCheck.log file, in case that's of use...

I guess I'm a little puzzled; is there something I'm missing here? Any ideas? Thanks a bunch!!!

Zip and post the log files found in C:/program files/devnz/gbpvr/logs/, then some kind soul who knows far more than me will have a look at them.

I am using a Hauppauge 150MCE - the vanilla of capture cards.

I think I had it set up correctly (with EPG). I was able to download listings (I think) and I saw the correct channels and schedule under TV Guide. Here's a shot:

I'm using Time Warner Cable TV. And like I said, I have used MCE for years with this setup - I know my capture card is working.

Logs attached.

Thanks for the quick support - it really is as good as everybody says. I have to say, this is a very endearing quality in a piece of software, especially a free one. Thanks so much!!!

There is error messages relating to your IR Blaster. Try setting your capture source's 'channel changer' setting to none to see if the problem goes away.

If you need to use an MCE IR Blaster, its recommended you use either IR Server Suite or HIP, then set your channel changer to the '.exe channel changer' and point at the appropriate executable.

Well, folks. I thought I had the changer setting set to none (I had been playing around with this setting, but finally settled on none; hence the errors). I tried again, and voila, it worked... Not sure if that was it, but I'm not complaining.

Thanks for all your (amazingly fast) responses!!!
