Hi, can recordings made by gbpvr be moved into the video library?
In my setup, under recordings most (90%?) of the entries (in the main 'ready' list) are one-off recordings, mainly movies. I have recorded a few series as well, and these are nicely grouped, but I have to trawl past many individual entries to see these groups. So moving these individual recordings out of here could clean things up nicely.
If moving these individual recordings into the vid library isn't easy, then would it be feasible to create a folder 'Movies' under my recordings folder, and move all the files into there? (But then I guess I need to heavily modify the recordings xml file?)

TIA, Phil

There is nothing built into the user interface for moving them. You could easily move them to some other place manually using Windows Explorer though, then they'd disappear from the Recordings Screen, and still be available in the Video Library.

Oh, so gbpvr will automatically cleanup any references to recordings if the physical files are no longer there? (I had a nagging feeling that if files went awol it caused problems; if this isn't the case then I'm happy to move them with explorer Wink ).

However the more I think about it, I think I'd prefer the recordings under a 'movies' subfolder. So if I moved them, gbpvr will remove old references to them... then I could scan the folder with MpegImport utility, which will give me an xml file I can import? (But... errr... never tried MpegImport before... will it process .TS files?)

Yes, assuming you still have the default <AutoRemoveMissingRecordings>true</AutoRemoveMissingRecordings> setting config.xml.

I've never used MpegImport utility, so cant really give any advice on it. If you reimport than, then still show in the Recordings screen in just they were before -unless you edit the text in the xml file MpegImport generates. The groupings shown in the recording screen are based on the name of the show, not the directory they're in.

if you grouped them into folders
vidimport and .net3.5 (required otherwise it dont work)
drag and drop top folder onto vidimport.exe and its all done for you they will be back in recordings directory and you can use the video library for fast searching into folders named as you want them
