Hi I have previously installed MVP succesfully but chose to go the way of GB-PVR to have live TV access through MVP. With the initial MVP install start up MVP had a hard time finding my server but on re-searching about 5 times it found the IP and everything ran fine.

I then installed succesfully installed GB-PVR. I then uninstalled the MVP software and checked that the Hauppauge services were deleted. Rebooted everything and my trouble started!

The MVP gives the error message "No streaming server found" I press OK to rescan (it takes around 5 rescans) and the server name, IP and preferred server show on screen. I press OK to accept it saves (takes up to 30 seconds) then shows the "Checking network status" message. Then the error message appears "MVP unable to detect your previously saved ..."

I am running a wired connection of MVP to the router and have tried both wired and wireless connections between the computer (Asus notebook) and the router (Netgear). I have tried with the TrendMicro firewall disabled.

I have atached the relevant PVR and MVP logs.

Hope you can help.

It looks GBPVR is binding to the loopback adaptor and not your NIC when it starts up. I can't help any more than this but I hope that is a start.

Code:
2009-01-09 07:09:09.046    INFO    [3]    ServiceLocatorThread() Hostname:  GrahamAsus
2009-01-09 07:09:09.046    INFO    [3]    IP Address 127.0.0.1

Thanks Martin. What you have noticed makes sense, but I have no idea why it does that or how to change it. Maybe someone else can help.
