Hi Sub
Following on from http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=40175

I thought I'd post my logs and see if you can see what I am doing wrong here.

In the attached logs I've watched TV3 / H264 live, and the sound works fine (as I guessed, as I doesn't use the TS reader)
I then watched a TS file from the satellite, and the sound worked fine on live, and recorded.
Then I watched an AAC channel live, and AC3 filter worked fine, but no sound when I tried to watch the same program recording.
EDIT: I removed Ac3filter completely, and used FFDshow for AC3 and audio decoder, and it did the same thing.

As a side note, I seem to be having an issue when I watch live TV.
When I watch any channel live using the TS mux (SD or HD) then the next file I attempt to play gives the last frame of the live TV I was watching, and then a black screen with 00:00 at each end of the timeline.
I can reproduce this each time. (trying to play a file after the 'failed' attempt works fine - even the same file)

Thanks

Probably your mpeg audio decoder...I had to play with that recently. I switched to a technotrent one and it started going again.

Also playing with your ac3filter settings may help.

If you run in windowed mode, and turn on the ac3filter systray icon, you should be able to see it pop up when you play something....it seems to be used for almost everything. THen while it's up you can play with it's settings.

Its a fine balance to get everything to work:
dvb-s, live, recorded, dvb-t live, recorded, analog card, xvid etc.

Yeah, problem is - if I am watching TV3, then I can see that AC3filter is getting the ac3 signal and passing it through SPDIF, likewise with the AAC, I can see the data within the config (being upsampled to 5.1 then out to SPDIF)but it's not producing any sound.

I had a play, and it seems when I add an extra instance of AC3filter in graphedit, it stops the one connected to audio renderer from making any sound. (I'll have to try the same thing with FFDshow)

I'll keep mucking around, and have now watched what I wanted (hitchhikers) - at least it's holiday tomorrow.
