original files not deleting

After recording I convert the MPG files to another format. The conversion works well but ever so often - perhaps 10% of the time - the original file is not deleted, even though that option is selected.

This is creating a space issue for me, so I'd like to know if a) this is a known issue, and b) if there's any workaround. I know the simple answer is don't convert and buy more disk capacity, but I'm at to 2 TB on this machine now and would have to go to 4 TB if I didn't convert.

(Unfortunately I don't have access to this machine at present, so can't provide any log files.)

The most likely reason is that the file is in-use, so cant be deleted. Some people have had this when they run conversions and comskip at the same time.

If it was a GBPVR bug, unfortunately there is nothing that can be done now. If you have the same type of problem with NPVR, I'm sure I can find the cause and correct.

Thanks, Sub. Not sure why it would be flagged as in use unless the system load is somehow causing it to delay closing long enough so the app still thinks it's in use.
At any rate, I'm not ready to switch to NPVR just yet, so what I may do is just build a batch file to run once a day and delete all the original files.
