Special characters in filenames

I use PVRX2 1.3.7 along with renamerecordings in the post-processing.bat
Is there a way to exclude special characters from the file name?
The PCH cannot play files especially something like "Lost - Because you left; The lie.mpg"
I could just rename them manually and then watch them from Video library I guess. If this can be done automatically I would like to know.

GB-PVR's original file names will be fine with the PCH. If renamerecording is generating filenames that the PCH doesnt like, you'd have to ask the author of rename recording to provide you some work around to exclude these characters.

Thanks - for now just renamed the file and will watch it through Video library. Cannot stay too long without watching Lost. As expected it disappears from the Recordings screen after I rename it.

have a look at vidimport that will get the file back into recordings database
