Hi all,

I have 3 issues really:

1; i have having issues with bad recordings. These are recordings i have made using my satellite card using the TS mux . when i play back the recording is seems like the recording is corrupted. the image and sound freezes and then jumps forwards. This can happen regularly or can just halt the recoding all together. This does not happen with every recording but about 50% at the moment !!

I have scan the hard drive for bad sectors and also defrag regularly (every two days)

2; Also when playing back good recordings, the sound is about 50% of the orginal volume. the sound is there but very muted. I have to crank the volume right up to achieve anything i can hear.

3; The other issue with out of sync happens only on my satelite card i have tried different video and audio decoders but every now and again with no reason the video goes out of sync with the audio.

I have attached logs for anyone who understands them. (the last thing i did was playback a crap recording that i had done a couple of hours earlier)
I am using the latest GBPVR version.

thanks in advance for any help.

Sync sounds like decoder. Broken recordings sounds like bad signal, which could also contribute to sync problems, but I would have expected signal to also effect live tv.

Sorry, I dont know.

i can play back the recordings in WMP and get a much lesser stutter but the recording continues ok without jumping forward sound is also unaffected in WMP.

does that hold any clues??

Can you make a 40MB chunk of one of your TS recordings available? You can use the tool here to get the chunk: http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=3...ostcount=2

If you dont have access to a web server you'll probably have to use a free service like megaupload.com

I am also experiencing the skipping and sync issues. On some recordings it seems like the video and audio are fast-forwarding, but at different rates.

I thought it may be my new 500gb hard drive. It's SATA, but my mb only takes IDE so I had to get a converter, which hangs on rather loosely.

My roommate seems to think it happens when we're skip around in another recording, which was true tonight when playing and fast-forwarding a show in pvrx while recording another. I tried the same thing while playing back in VNC tho, and it didn't cause any recording glitches. I'm sort of stumped.

I used to have audio sync problems on live tv, but that was the encoder I was using.

Is yours also a .ts file? If so, same advice as above:

Ah, this wont be a GB-PVR problem specifically then. The recordings in a PVR150 are entirely produced by the PVR150 hardware encoder.

You most likely are encountering the PVR150 timestamp bug. For fix see http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=14006
