Hi

Currently cannot use GBPVR effectively as it is not family-friendly because the remote not behaving as expected

Rock RM-VR1 Remotes seems to do the job as MCE clone under VMC but when it comes to GBPVR its a bit useless as lot of functionalty is no longer there.

Do I have to use HIP to intergrate it into GBPVR?

If I use HIP will it affect how VMC responds to the remote.

According to this GBPVR doco it may be supported if it is a true clone of a MCE remote. .... it appears that is not the case

do you have vmc running on the same machine?
Could the media center services be getting in the way of GBPVR using the remote correctly?

Hi

I have found that running VMC & GBPVR at the same time not a good idea.
Also depends upon what you mean by "running" are we talking services or having VMC on to watch/record video?

Unfortunately I couldn't get this remote to do anything - maybe it was because I was running a stripped-down non-mce version of vista, but I wasn't even able to install a driver for it (none was provided as it supposedly would work auto-magically). Ended up having to use a USB-UIRT I had lying around.
