will not resume paused hd ota signal

I have an ATI Dual channel card, cable analog and ota digital hd inputs. I can pause the cable input and resume fine, when I pause the ota hd signal, the screen goes dark and keyboard is not functioning. I have to close GB-PVR. Is there a setting I have wrong, does hd signal use a different temp folder?
Running the latest version of GB software.

Reproduce the problem, then zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look.

Make sure you have the patches from the survival guide installed first though.
