PVRX2 1.3.11 stops responding scanning for new channels and can't record E4.

Ever since version 1.2.13 PVRX2 has always stopped responding when it is attempting to scan or save new channels. Does anyone have any idea if this problem is going to be fixed in the next release so I can update my channels without having to uninstall the current version and reinstall version 1.2.09 and then uninstall that and reinstall the current version again?

Also is the next release going to be compatible with the UK Freeview channel sharing EPG position when for exampled BBC3 shares the same multiplex position as CBBC but they appear as different channels in the EPG with me having to scan for new channels twice at different time of day when each channel is broadcasting.

Also PVRX2 1.3.11 is unable to record certain programmes on E4 without the recording freezing part of the way through them, which I think is because at this time E4 is attempting to change the MHEG interactive text information. I did not have this problem with the previous release.

Hi, as a matter of interest have you ever put the TV Pack Media Center update on you pc as I kknow this bu**ered up my gbpvr installation once? Also have you tried the patch in the survival guide at the top of this forum?

No I have not installed TV Pack Media Center or any of the software mentioned in the patch description, and I have not installed the patch either. It doesn't mention anything about fixing the problem with PVRX2 freezing when scanning for or saving new channels. Will it work with version 1.2.09 as I'm back to that now? I also have to wait till the evening to scan for then new Freeview channels since GB-PVR can't detect channels such as BBC3 which shares the same space in the multiplex as CBBC or any of the new commercial channels such as CNN which shares space with some other channel, and I will have to wait until 9pm in order to get GB-PVR to detect it, whereas Hauppauge's own software will detect everything on the multiplex even if it isn't broadcasting when the scan is made.

I got around the limitation of gbpvr not being able to scan channels that are not currently broadcasting
by using progdvb , I got it to scan all channels and manually edited my scan cache with the new info

The 1.3.11 patches fixed all the crashing problems I had with scanning.

I've gone back to version 1.3.11 and installed the patches, and PVRX2 can now scan for new channels without freezing but it now keeps randomly crashing when watching live TV. The crashes are happening within a minute of going to live TV on PVRX2.

It's now also back to crashing when scanning for new channels even with the patches installed. Going back to 1.2.09.

Sounds like the same problem as discussed here: http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=40763

Sub is currently investigating.
