E4 Tonight Audio but no pic??

For some reason E4 and E4+1 dont give me any picture tonight in live preview mode.

If I hit pause to time shift its ok, I have tried both tuners (nova t 500 and 7010ix), I tried a new version of the ATI mpeg decoder but its still the same.

I cant see anything in the logs either, I guess I'm going to have to dig into graph edit....opinions????

Logs attached go something like...e4 live tv (no picture) pause then play (ok), stop to menu then live tv channel5 (all ok).

I'm working if they've changed the video PID they're using. This would explain live preview mode having problem with playing recordings works.

I'm not sure I really understand how it works on timeshift but not live preview.... I think you just exposed a gaping hole in my knowledge. I need to go and do some reading.
However your diagnosis is probably correct as they have been moving stuff about on the muxes and renaming channels over the last couple of weeks.

Well I've just done a rescan and see no difference in the scan cache (or the problem)

Urrrm - Video PID 7676 ??? That really doesn't look right. It's not set in stone but a general rule of thumb is that normally the video and audio PIDs are 1 apart. TSReader is currently showing video/audio as 570/571 for me.

Well thats got E4 working thanks.
It would appear that E4+1 had done the same thing in the old scan, but in the new one it had picked up the correct Vpid and Apid.

No problem.

That's a weird one though - it could have been either a problem at source or a bug in the Config scan. The fact that both E4 and E4+1 were affected is a bit too much of a coincidence and suggests the first I guess. :confused:

Yep, scratch head...the 2 scans were also done on different tuner cards.

Ah well I'll keep an eye out next tome I scan.
