Default record setting

I am using the Hauppauge 350; how do you configure GBPVR to default to High Quality in the record and Quick record inside the menu driven by the TV guide? I thought it would be the edit setting for the capture source, but apparently not. Right now it is set for medium.

'quick record' always uses the medium profile, but you can adjust the medium profile to use whatever settings you like.

In the config.xml file it show the high setting as a bitrate of 4,000,000 but when I record high the result is 8,250,000. How does that work?
