Error w/ Live TV, no recording

I have GBPVR installed successfully and configured. The EPG works fine so I can go through the guide and select programs to record. However, the programs never record. When I try "Live TV" from the main menu, I get an error: "No Capture-source was available to enable you to watch the requested channel". It is puzzeling because the EPG works fine and I can see video via the tuner assistant. I have uninstalled and reinstalled, rebooted, etc but no luck. Incidently, which channel is the "requested" one? I cannot figure out how a default is configured.
I am using an Avermedia M150 card on a XP machine.
I attached the log files from GBPVR in case that helps....

From the look of the messages in you logs, it looks like something is wrong with the windows data access components on your machine. You could try reinstalling the Microsoft MDAC components - it might help.

I went to Microsoft support site and grabbed a utility which will check version and verify my MDAC installation. Everything checked out OK; I am at version 2.8. Since I am using XP, MDAC is integrated so I cannot reinstall it. Thoughts on this?
