Hi,
I'm new to home theater, and have a few questions.
Here is my setup. I have a Pinnacle PCTV 310i TV Card, Nvidia GeForce 8600GT video card (512MB memory), Core2Duo E6850 CPU, 4GB Memeory and Vista Ultimate 32-bit. I have the Imon remote (and display/remote device mounted inside one of the DVD bays), and I have a Logitech Harmony remote, although I'm not yet too crazy about that.
Now, I want to set up the system so I can change channels on my Technomate (5400) sat receiver. I understand i need an IR Blaster to do that. I also have a cable box and it would be nice to be able to control that from time to time. I'm willing to buy another TV card if I need to in order to get this set up. If I do that, I'd prefer one with two tuners in it and one that is USB as my motherboard only has 3 slots.
Any recommendations on what I should do here? I did a search and wasn't able to find something that made sense to me as the solution, so pointers to other posts is welcomed, as are new, fresh information.
Thanks much!
