Not sure if I should put this in support. I am wondering if anyone has been able to get the combination of a server/client system and also use comskip effectively for ASTC. My experience is that I can't do both. I have to use the dvr-ms mux to get comskip to work, but that does not work with a client/server system. Anyone have any thoughts/solutions?

comskip works fine on my atsc recordings...and they play fine on client..
bu if you want the timeline to match up on client, view it from video library..
there's something off in comskip when viewed from client recordings sceren..unless using file sharing mode..which bogs down livetv for clients..
but when accessed thru vid library, it's just like file sharing mode..while still being in streaming mode for livetv and recordings screens....Smile

hope that helps a bit..till Sub gets the timelines fixed for clients..

Hey pBS,

A couple of questions for you. Which Mux are you using? I have been using dvr-ms since that is the only one that keeps timeline right with the commercials (much has been said about people having trouble with the ts-mux and comskip...and I too have had trouble). This means that, unless we switch muxs (not great for waf) to the ts-mux when we want to watch livetv on the client, we can not stream livetv (also not great for waf). Am I missing something? Are you saying that if you watch a file that was recorded using the ts-mux, and get to it through the video library, the commercial timing will be right? That is not working for me.

Thanks,
Linene
