Technotrend DVB-C 1501 missing channels

Hi,

I purchased a Technotrend DVB-C 1501 budget card last week and tried to set it up in gbpvr. I got the problem that some major channels here in germany are missing if I perform a scan in gbpvr. If I use the tt media center, all channels were found. I added the frequencies to the ini file but "ard" and "zdf" are still not found at all.

Yes I think. I reduced the list to the one entry where one of the channels is missing, and other big german channels were found. I tried the QAM64 and 256 where the tt SW found the channels.

Normally for a problem like this I'd ask users to supply a 1 minute "full ts" recording of one of the other channels on the same frequency, so that I could run it up in the debugger to check. I'm about 10000 miles away from my development machine at the moment though, so cant do that at the moment.

Do you think I have a chance to find the missing channels when youre back home? BTW where are you?

Yes, most likely. I'm in the united states. I'll be back in New Zealand in a couple of weeks.

The hardware and drivers deliver a big pile of data to the application. Its up to the application to try parsing that data to find the channels. It'll be something funny about the way your broadcaster is encoding its channel information in the stream which makes GB-PVR miss it. With a sample file I should be able to tell why exactly.

Problem solved:

I used another tool which could find the channels and added the data manually.
