I would like to play my PS2 using my computer's monitor and so I bought a TV tuner card; the software (WinTV) that came with it lags so badly, that I considered GBPVR as an alternative for viewing media output from my PS2.

So here's my objective: display video from RCA input in real-time (I'm not recording anything).
Could someone post a high-level step-by-step on how to do this?

I get lost in the sea of options when I open the GBPVR config program, and online documentation/wiki is very abundant with information I don't need nor understand (mostly related to viewing TV channels and recording; I don't need those). I also can't find any options to view RCA input in the PVRX2 program.

Thanks in advance!
Any inputs appreciated.

I don't think that's going to work. Any input into a tv tuner card is going to be processed and rendered by the computer, you're going to get too much lag to play a game.

Even when your hardware is good?
It doesn't make sense to me that my 10-yr-old TV displays things faster than my PC which has a GeForce 9800 GTX.

Sorry, there is always going to be delay - enough to ruin any game play action.

You'd be better off getting a monitor with an RCA input, and switch inputs when you want to play the PS2.

Your 10 or 20 year old TV displays line by line what it is receiving.
As soon as computers get involved this stops and things start happening in frames with intermediate stages where images sit in memory while being transferred.
Better tuners are worse as they compress the image on the fly.

You need a "gamebridge" device. I don't think you can use it to record, but it is supposed to render the input in real time.
