Ever since switching to the new mvpmcx2 I've been having a problem connecting through one of my PCH. I have a PCH in my Family Room that works flawlessly. The one in my Bedroom acts like it is connecting and then closes (behaves as if I pressed the Power button). I end up in SwissCenter (modified script). The PCHs each connect to a different share MVPMC1 and MVPMC respectively. I did a side-by-side of the files inside the shares and they are identical. I don't know what could be the problem. The only difference I know is the PCH in my Bedroom is the original version (720p in startup script) and the PCH in my Family Room is the newer version (1080p in the startup script). They are both connected with HDMI. Any ideas?

I asked you in another thread to set AutoStart to 1 for logging perhaps you forgot to set it back to 2? If that is not it make sure your PCH is not set on Auto for video. You shouldn't be setting the video mode on the command line either, if you are running standard 50/60 Mhz

AutoStart is set to 2. I'll check the auto for video. I don't need to specify any settings in startup? Maybe that's the problem. I'll check both and report back.

I have doubled checked that autostart is set to 2. The Video is set to Auto on both units. Do I just comment everything in the startup script or just delete it. It is working in one room, but not in the other. I was getting a blank screen before and then SwissCenter. Now, I'm getting an error.

Video should not be set to Auto.

I have changed my video setting to HDMI 720p 60, I commented out all setting in the startup script, and I even copied the files from the "working" MVPMC share (from the working PCH directory) to the non-working MVPMC share. When I browse the MVPMC share and click on GB-PVR.html, I get the GB-PVR icon. I click the icon and the screen blinks. Then I get a blank black screen. I never does anything after this. If I hit the PowerToggle on my Harmony Remote (should exit GB-PVR and take me to the PCH interface), I get no response. The only way to get out is to pull the power plug on the PCH. The PCH in my Family Room works great. I have a movie playing down there right now. The folders are exactly the same except they point to 2 different shares. The working one is MVPMC1 and the non-working one is MVPMC. I have 2 servers started in the GBPVR config. I can't figure out what's the problem.

I finally figured it out. It was some kind of handshake issue. I had to change my startmeup script from this:

Code:
/etc/mvpmc/mvpmcx2 -m 720p --frequency 60 &

to this:

Code:
/etc/mvpmc/mvpmcx2 -m 720 &

It's working now.....

Thanks

That makes sense -m 720p is not a valid option Again if your PCH is set up as 720p you don't need -m 720 at all.

What should the line look like? If I comment out the line, I get a blank screen.
