Ok so i have been really interested to know if its worth testing Win 7 for GBPVR client use.

My tale begins with having one of the 780G board (Well its a 790GX so a little faster and 128mb sideport mem) and had major problems with XP and getting it to work right with my setup as a client. This related to the codec issues and getting playback smooth.

So on to Vista, and after tweaking with ATI setting and FFdshow setting i managed to get decently good playback and am mostly happy.

There are still some minor issues and wondering if there is any real gain or benefits to using Win 7 Vs. Vista

I think it's worth testing, but you might not see any drastic changes, I found it a bit overhyped. Still it is better and you will see some things that you will want that you would likely have received for free if it wasn't for the Mac guy,

I certainly didn't notice any improvement for GBPVR probably because it still is a DirectShow app. My feeling is unless GBPVR moves to Media Foundation you won't be able to take advantage of the good stuff you can find in WMC
