Setup:
Comcast DTA Pace box (sucks!!!!!)
MCE 2005 remote, receiver and blaster
Hauppauge PVR-500

Can watch fixed channel live TV, but just cannot get GB-PVR to IR blast and change channels on the Comcast PACE DTA box. Tried to learn the signals by setting up the device in GB-PVR and it seems to learn, IR Blaster blinks like crazy, but the Comcast PACE DTA box does not accept the signal at all.

Searched and searched the web, but all I can find is that it accepts XMP protocol signals. Does MCE IR Blaster output XMP protocol signals? Will GB-PVR support this?

I also tried IR Server Suite, and could not get this to work. It learnt the Comcast PACE DTA controller signals, but when blasting, the Comcast PACE DTA box does not respond (again the IR Blaster blinks, but Comcast PACE DTA box does not respond).

I am at a total loss. I would prefer not to move to QAM tuner.

I'm failrly sure the MCE IR Blaster cant send XMP signals. I'm pretty sure it only handles RC5/RC6.

Is XMP at 56kHz? If so maybe USBUIRT can support it?

If it means anything to you I used the USBUIRT with a Comcast PACE box and it was able to learn the codes with no troubles. I used the model with the additional 56KHz IR sensor built in. It's been working flawlessly since I set it up a couple of weeks ago.
