Problem Scheduling Recordings over Multiple Channels

In this thread you guys explained how one tuner could record several channels which were on the same MUX.

Using my Hauppage TD-500 twin tuner I wanted to record four stations continuously (set up as Manual Records) as well as recording several series on the same four channels.

I discovered that to prevent conflicts, the manual 24hr blocks had to be set up first, so the channels were 'assigned' to each tuner correctly. The subsequent programmes would then 'know' which tuner to use (the one already being used to record that channel).

With me so far? Smile

However, I've found that as time moves on, and we get past the initial 14 day period, conflicts start to appear as the new recording slots are applied without the due care used initially.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to either:
  1. Force the 24hr recording 'blocks' to be set up first? then everything else should fall into place...
  2. Force a recording slot (manual or otherwise) onto a specific tuner?

Thanks (in advance) for any help!

Hi again, sorry but I'm having no luck prioritizing the 24hr 'blocks'. {Probably a noob mistake Sad}

Basically I've set up all the recordings using the web scheduler. But as there's no way of prioritizing on it (though I'm ready to be corrected), I use the GBPVR interface, go to Reoccurring on the Recordings page and move my 'blocks' up to the top of the list using ctrl-f/d.

But I'm still getting conflicts once time moves on.

Is it something stupid I'm doing?

Thanks for any further help...
