Hi.

I have four configured tuners working OK. I have connected an external source (dish receiver) through one tuner.

I manually created a new (5th) capture source and called it 'Composite'. I then manually added a channel called 'Composite' to each of the 4 capture sources.

The composite channel is now appearing in live tv with the rest. However, its not linked to or receiving any signal from my dish receiver. What could be the problem?

Thanks for the advice.
Regards.

When I do this I only add the channel "composite" to the source that I created specially for it.
What tuners are you using?

Did you set up a lineup for the 5th capture source? Make sure the signal is working on the 5th capture source before you do anything else. And I never tried to add a channel to a lineup for one capture device that comes from another capture device. Not sure it can be done.

Thank you for your responses.

I am using Hauppauge PVR 150 analog tuners.

I would like to elaborate that in addition to four tuners defined as 'capture sources' with cable tv input, I have created a 5th 'capture source' for the external tuner; however it is not a standalone tuner but actually the 4th tuner is shared with the composite input.

Should I manually add the 'Composite channel in the 5th capture source dialogue box and delete it from the other 4 capture sources?

Regards.

I have my composite as connected to my first PVR150, so it is used for both UHF stations and from a satellite box.

Just make sure you use the same logical device number as the tuner you have it connected to. (gbpvr will take care of conflicts of RF <> composite).

I don't have a channel defined for the composite, but have the stations that are available from the STB defined in the source for composite so that gbpvr knows which source to pick when that station is selected to view or record.

I set the "channel number" as the STB channel and use an IR blaster to change the STB channel.

None of these channels/stations appear in any of the other sources. - BUT - sometimes when importing an EPG, new stations appear in all the sources and are enabled by default. If this happens, untick them in all the other sources that cannot receive them.

Hi.

Thanks for the guidance. The problem has been resolved at present. I have now defined the channel only in the 5th capture source specifically created for it and deleted it from the other four capture sources.

Regards.

Hello.

Somehow I am facing the same problem as 2 years ago in my above post. I have defined the two Composite Channels for the respective TV tuner cards and connected them to respective Dish Receivers. Nut no signal. The cards are recording cable channels OK.

I attaching then logs for advice.
Regards.
