So under the directories tab in config.exe, you have it setup to record to L:\Live ?
It might be worth reproducing the problem and then zipping and uploading all the files from the log folder. also have a quick read of this and see if it rings any bells http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...light=temp

Here are the log files..
In some files I can see the it is recording to c:\temp.. if I delete c:\temp, then a new folder is created .. Config file is pointed to L:\Recordings

The recording service and config.exe are seeing different values for the recording directory. Check your C: drive for duplicate copies of config.xml

Found two config.xml's
one is C:\windows\system32 and the other in the .../devnz/GBPVR which is not supposed to be there?

I deleted the one in c:\windows\system32 and now everything is recording correctly.
Where did this one come from, I didn't put one there?

with one of the config.xml files deleted, now the recorded shows go in the right locations, but I can't play the files... they are not recognized and won't play.

i used to get those on occasion...usually after windows crashes...
after a re-install of windows, i don't get them anymore... not sure what it was...may try re-installing/updating MS xml support...

If so, then its probably just a problem with the decoders you've got selected.
