some .avi in sync, others not?

When I playback .avi files on my MVP some of them play with the audio/video in sync, whereas others do not. Why is this?

They all play fine on the computer so I assume there is nothing wrong with the actual hardware, maybe its the way some films are encoded?

Any help would be much appreciated

.avi files would need to be transcoded by the server computer before they are sent to the MVP for playback. See: http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Hardw...iaMVP#toc3

Is a out of sync file always like that or only sometimes. Perhaps if the PC is busy it can't keep up. What are the specs?

Quad Core QX 6700 with 4GB memory, PC is definately up to it.

Its just strange that it only happnes with some of my video files and not others...
