can certainly do this but being a nosey person would like to know why I would have to do this with this plugin and no others!?
Weather2 uses WizDLLs, and installer probably does not check if PVRX2 and/or Recording Service is running. Other plugins that do not use WizDLLs, or that check and alert for running processes that may have them open will not have this problem.

The installer with V1.0.1.2 will ask to stop the recording service. But I don't check if an instance of PVRX2 is running. I guess this is proof I need to add a check for a running instance of PVRX2...

As for the meltdown of steed's system after plugin install, I just don't know what else to say. I notice a small change in config.exe load up time with Weather2 installed, but not much.

Sorry...

Hi scb147,

But this is the thing I am not running an instance of PVRX2, not on the server or any MVP's. So this is weird! Obviously your installer has not stopped something that is running one of JavaWiz's .dll's as per previous post but am not sure why this is. The only other plugins I have that I think may use JavaWiz stuff is Cinema Listings and TV listings.

Yeh this is really weird, literally every time I have installed Weather2 my whole system becomes very unresponsive, config takes ages to open (and close) PVRX2 will take longer to load.....

Shame because this plugin looks great!

No need to be Smile You've done loads of work on this and it looks great, just don't know why it isn't working for me yet but am sure my time will come!

Cheers

Steeb

You might try installing Weather2, then grabbing the most current versions of WizDLLs THEN run config and pvrx2.
