Can anyone recommend a 2 way splitter available in UK that is amplified?

Here's the problem.

I have put 2 Nova T 500's in my box and while the signal strength and quality are 60/100 on one card with 2 cards just using a passive splitter I get hops skips and jumps occaisonally and sometimes it is so bad the channel is unwatchable.
Am I right in thinking that an amplified splitter would solve this? Please provide links to your recommendations. many Thanks in advance.

I may be wrong, but if you receive your signal from the Winterhill group, then on the 2nd December the freeview signal strength will be increasing by a factor of 10 - that may solve your problems on its own

I got a 6 way one of these a year or so ago and it works fine for me. (ebay link) http://tinyurl.com/yjxnjjr
But I'd certainly wait if your transmitter is changing over soon.

Yes, you're right, the only thing that concerned me is I had problems last night with BBC Three which is already at full power. I have no problems with BBC One though.

Thanks for both your replies.
