I should know this and I swear I used to but I think my memory going. I accidentally clicked the setting to not have it run after recordings and now I have several that did not get it run on.

Is there a way to get the post processing bat file to run on a recording after the fact, like do it manually?

it's just a batch file, and as far as I recall it says what it's parameters are in it's comments.

Something like the filename and the channel number.

so running postprocessing.bat "myfilename.ext" 1

should work.

that checkbox doesn't do anything if you have any of the batch files present..
[either postprocessing.bat or parallelprocessing, or recordingstatus.bat]
the presence of any of those batch files disables the config processing section..
if using the batch files, parallel would happen as it records, post after..
comskip needs to also have livetv=1 to enable live processing..

but sometimes comskip never finds any commercials, or decides the ones it found are invalid, so erases all of them...that may be what you saw..

Thanks guys, I'll play with that a little and see. pBS could be right and it did run and just missed the commercials on that run. I'll have to add a little to the bat file so I get a log of what it gets run on so i'll know for sure next time.

If you run the batchfile the comskip.ini file probably isn't loaded.
You can run comskip manually, but you have to use this commandline:

comskip --ini=comskip.ini filename.xxx

just drap a recording over the bat file with the mouse. Perhaps create a shortcut to the batch file on the desktop to make it easier.
