I had it, but lost it - after a HD crash I have rebuilt the installation with new HW, but can't get back to where I was...

The channels scan correctly, and I can map them, but the video is lagging heavily, the Config -> Digital Channel Mapping preview takes minutes to load the stream, LiveTV is equally bad and recordings useless...
The native DigiTV sw says that the signal strength and quality is 70%, I am using the same cable to my TV where the DVB-T has no problem with signal.

Codecs and such aren't really my area, so I really don't know where to start :-(

The system is built on
XP
AMD Athlon X2 II
Gigabyte GA-MA78GM-UD2H
ATI Radeon HD 3200 Graphics
2 GB RAM
Twinhan 3030 DVB-T

It's definitely a decoder issue. Try selecting a different MPEG-2 video decoder in the playback tab.

Played around with the Mpeg-2 encoders, again.
Now I have something that is close to stop-motion... one sec of liveTv, one sec of frozen image, start stop start stop...

Try setting your prefered audiio decoder to something other than system default.

Have you got any splitters in the antenna feed? If so, can you see if temporarily removing them helps?

I have two splitter, but one has been there forever and is with the antennae so it will be some work to bypass it, and did not cause any problems earlier. The other is a ordinary T-splitter just by the TV/HTPC, that did not impact earlier, but this one I can bypass no problem.... Will post the findings shortly.

I'll try changing this as well - I have only looked at the video codecs so far...

Neither connecting the HTPC directly to the wall socket, or testing any of the other audio codecs did resolve the problem :-(
