No Channels Found

Hi I am a total newbie so please go easy on me.
I recently bought a kworld UB435-Q

it works well if i use an antenna (rabbit/bunny ears); however when I plug my cable into it no channels are found.
If i plug the same cable directly into my tv it works fine.
I even tried plugging my cable box into the TV Tuner card and still no channels are found.
I fired up Total Media which comes with the tuner and it finds all my cable channels but they are all locked with an icon of a padlock next to them.

I don't want to pirate cable but want to be able to record the channels I have paid for - what do i do??????

I am having the exact same problem as the problem above. I can pick up OTA channels but I can not pick up Cable channels.

I use the exact same kworld USB ub435-q which is not listed in the bdi.ini file so I use the 340u setup configuration which is what the ub435 replaced.

It does launch the bda driver successfully and will find OTA channels but it does not find any cable channels. My qam.ini file is as follows

This QAM.INI file is the same file my HDHomerun tuners use and these tuners do find the cable channels.

My cable provider is verizon if that helps.

I missed the origianl post which is why I didn't respond to it. To force QAM mode on some K-World tuners, search the registry for "ATSCMode" and change the value to "2". The bda.ini entry for QAM will be:

I believe that center frequencies need to be used so you would need to adjust the qam.ini entries and add 1750 to each frequency.

@nixonfamilyusa, (if you are still monitoring this thread) If none of the channels are viewable in TotalMedia, they won't be viewable in GBPVR. The cable should be plugged directly into the tuner and not from the cable box -> tuner. You definitely will not get any QAM channels if it's connected that way.
