I recently changed out my PVR 150 and put the 1600. One thing that began failing is my external hard drive that is hooked up via esata. It fails in two areas: 1. If i were to turn on the harddrive after turning on the computer; 2. if gbpvr wakes up the computer from sleep (in other words, if i were to wake up from sleep, then no problem).
What i mean by fail is that it hangs the computer and i need to reset the system. I'm currently running windows XP and use S3 sleep mode.
I tried changing my drive to use usb, and the problem didn't go away.
Anyone have thoughts? Is it related to getting a new graphics card or just coincidence? I have windows 7--should I upgrade? Will that take care of the issue? (I've hesitated because of the laborious process of going from xp to 7)

If you want to know why nPVR is the bomb, ask my wife!
