Hi,

I've imported my offline DVD collection using an import file (example below) with the "Add Offline Content" button.

However, it does not automatically fetch any thumbnails. I can fetch
them one by one but what I'd like is an automatic fetch for all titles.
Is this feature available?

Also, I already have a big collection of thumbnails in C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\media - can I somehow use the same location for
the MovieWiz thumbnails as many already exist in that spot.

David

Ok, next version will provide a feature for this. Note, file names are specific to the show and episode.

The images must reside in the Media Art directory:
[Gbpvr InstallDir|Gbpvr DataDir]\Media\Art - i.e. c:\Program Files\Devnz\gbpvr\Media\Art

For Example:
DVD_0001|16 Blocks|

Would have an image named c:\Program Files\Devnz\Gbpvr\Media\Art\16 Blocks.jpg

For episodes, the name resolution is:
1. show.jpg
2. episode.jpg
3. show - episode.jpg (show name space dash space episode)

It will attempt to build the filename in the order above until it finds a match or end of patterns.

Hi,

What's got me confused is that when I use MovieWiz Manager,
it will fetch thumbnails one by one. For example, the thumbnail for
16 Blocks is shown ok because I used "Lookup Image" to fetch it.
Where is this image stored? How do I control the storage location?
I can't find 16 Blocks.jpg anywhere.

On the other hand, the thumbnail for 24 is NOT shown.
How do I control the search location?

Because I used WizImageGrabber I have a big collection of
thumbnails in C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\media\art and this
collection includes 24.jpg. 16 Blocks.jpg is NOT present.

Thumbnails can be stored in a couple of locations...
  1. In the database itself. (Check the Settings 1 tab in the MovieWiz Manager)
  2. Same directory as the video file.
  3. In the gbpvr/media/art directory
That said, I think I found a bug in step 3. Try version found here, see if it fixes the problem where the image is not found in media/art directory

Hi,

1. I installed this new release in place, overwriting the existing release.
This preserved the existing MovieWiz.db3 database.

2. Unfortunately, I get errors, maybe when it tries saving entries.

3. Secondly, I switched to an empty database and tried reimporting my offline
content. This also failed.

I will post the various logs.

Can you try with the most current version I just posted on the Wiki? If it does not work, post your logs. (If it does work, just reply back so I know it has been fixed.)

Hi,

Maybe I have some settings wrong, but the new release still doesn't work
as I was expecting:

1. During Import, it interactively prompts me when something can't be
located, asking me to select from available titles. Can this be turned off?
I want to import a big list of titles and don't want this. If an image is
available, fine, then use it. Otherwise ignore it.

2. When it does successfully find an image it is being stored using my offline
content identifier, e.g. DVD_0001, not the title "16 Blocks". Since I am
randomly assigning these identifiers this isn't useful in the long run.
When I get a movie named "15 Blocks" it will get the DVD_0001 designation
since these numbers are randomly assigned.

3. My offline content is my physical DVD collection and I don't have episode
titles for my TV series, just the season number, and this confuses things.
I tried adding another delimiter:

DVD_0018|Absolutely Fabulous| |TV - Season 1|

but this didn't help. Is there some way to accommodate this?
