If I go through and disable channels I dont want on the channels tab, do I then have to go through and do it all over again for each Capture Source?

Also, if I disable channels, how can I keep them out of my tv guide schedule?

My attempts to answer questions like these led me to the conclusion that the most straightforward way to get a result was to ...

Ensure that the channel list loaded into the EPG database included only the channels that I wanted.

and

The database contained no old recordings for channels that were not channels that I wanted.

For example, a channel changed its name from Five to five (change of leading capital) ... I was never able to get rid of Five until I had deleted all the recordings that pre-dated the name change.

I expect that there is a way of tidying channels by ticking boxes in Config but I never figured it out.

Do you mean that you edited the schedule that you used as the EGP Source?

I'm using Schedules Direct, so would that mean I just edit my channels on my Schedules Direct account and then add the channels to GBPVR?

Is there a way to tell Schedules Direct to include/exclude specific channels? If there is, I would expect this to be the "best" way to get the "right" channels in the gbpvr programme guide.

Yes, the Schedules Direct website allows a user to enable/disable channels in their lineup. Only enabled channels are supplied to GB-PVR from Schedules Direct.

If you disable channel on only one capture source, then it wont use that capture source for that channel. If you disable that channel on all capture sources, then it wont show it in the TV Guide.
