using winlirc for ir blaster

I'm having a hard time figuring out how to use winlirc to do Ir blasting. I have a Directv STB. I found a file online that has raw codes in it but when I try to use the file as my configuration file, I get an error saying that it only works in raw mode. Does anybody have a .cf file for a Directv receiver that works? I need to be able to change channels so it would help me out a lot!

If I recall correctly, WinLIRC should work fine with a raw code config file. Check out the files at http://lirc.sourceforge.net/remotes/directv/ and see if one of them will work for you (even though they are raw codes). Also check out the links in the second post of http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...ht=winlirc to see if your DirectTV set top box will even work with a WinLIRC blaster. Try learning the codes from your remote and creating your own cf file.
