I am using an OnAir-GT as a tuner and got tired of their program crashing, so I migrated to GB-PVR. The Live TV works great. I set up an aspect ration setting in the config.xml file that takes a 4:3 program that is pillar-boxed for HDTV that in turn gets letter-boxed for my 4:3 screen. Works like a champ. I have no issue switching between aspect ratios using F7. I actually changed the key mapping to Ctrl-A because my remote won't send F-keys.

However, if I hit pause or watch something previously recoded, it stretches the screen vertically, like an aspect ratio of 0,0,1,1 would do. It is basically taking my letterboxed 16:9 image and stretching it vertically to fit my 4:3 screen. I cannot switch between the aspect ratios that work oh so well in live TV mode.

What do I have set up wrong?

AHA, the key piece of information:

You need to set the CTRL-A mapping in the other keymappings files, not just LiveTVPreviewPlayer.xml. LiveTVTimeshiftPlayer.xml, VideoPlayer.xml, and DvdPlayer.xml are all I can think of, but I probably missed one.
