Current position in TV Guide

I'd love to have a vertical line in the TV Guide showing the exact current position of what's going on. Nothing fancy, just a simple line that would progress every 10 to 20 seconds or every minute. As it is now, it's quite hard to know exactly where in the guide one is right now.
Hope I'm clear enough in my description...

I'll second this, it can be confusing especially as my tvguide seems to start/show programs 30 mins previous to 'now'.

Perhaps as useful, but more subltle would be an indicator above the timeline, eg an inverted triangle above it, or a line overlaying it, rather than over the entire guide.

Alternatively / additionally - how about having the current program a different colour.

On a related note, if the highlighted programme in the guide is the "currently showing" one, it would be nice if on scrolling down to another channel, that it highlight the current programme on that channel, rather than some apparently random one in the general vicinity as it does now...

The triangle idea seems like a great one to me, but perhaps one at the top and another at the bottom pointing towards each other, would make it easier to follow the channels that are further down the listing.

I like the idea of the line too. Maybe it could be made skinable, so the x coordinates value of where the line/triangle is can be used in the skin (like TIMENOW or something). I was about to post such a request - but I see it has already been requested - so I second (or third it).

A line or pair of triangles would be fine.
