I have my display working pretty well now, except I have tried to expand it to fill all the way out onto my LCD TV like the regular TV does. GBPVR Starts out with it expanded, but then quickly jumps to a smaller size. The GBPVR Menues appear to be expanded, but the television won't stick there but for a couple seconds then sizes down. It is tolerable, but I feel I should get more. I am set at 16:9 and have messed with configuration settings until I am blue in the face.

I'm not sure what you mean. Do you have the 'start in window mode' checkbox unticked, so that it starts fullscreen?

Well it's hard to explain. I have a 46" Samsung LCD. If you are watching regular TV on it, the picture will of course fill the screen. The PC and GBPVR itself will fill the screen, but in GBPVR it plays the television with not just letterbox appearance above and below, but also with dark margins on the left and right. The show information actually extends out beyond the dispalying picture. When Live TV on GBPVR starts up, it initially displays the picture exactly like regular television, but the almost immediately reverts to this smaller picture size. I did have the "start in window mode" ticked, and now that it is unticked, I don't even get the short lived full screen.

I dont really follow this bit. Maybe you TV is auto zooming? Some TVs do this when they're configured for the TV's auto aspect ratio mode. ie, they look at the picture and decide whether to stretch or zoom the picture they're displaying.

Interesting discovery I just made. I usually don't watch a lot of network TV, but I just tried it and discovered that the picture is not actually displaying wide screen. I think it's my tuner card. The PC and GB-PVR are displaying wide screen. Just television is not. My card is older, A Hauppauge HT1600 and I don't think it can provide wide screen. Is that possible? I use to use this system on a Media MPV and it was on a basic CRT television. Even on the PC the picture was always 4:3.

Curious also, but while running GB-PVR I tried to roll down and use the settings option, but it says there is a PIN code on ever option. Is that something I set somewhere along the way?

Analog always arrive as 4:3 from a tuner card. Digital can be either 4:3 or 16:9, depending on what the broadcaster is transmitting. MVP complicates playback though, since GB-PVR has no control over the aspect ratio on the MVP, so you needed to have booted the Hauppauge MVP software to set the correct TV aspect ratio in it's settings screen.

Thats a known bug in that screen in 1.4.7. Just dont use that screen for now.
