Last night, I had occasion to check three recurring recordings in my pending list. This morning, they were all gone. When I looked further, I discovered that all the recurring recordings of a certain type are gone. This appears to be after a guide update.

More detail: I import recordings from three sources depending on the channel: ScheduledDirect, my own XML file from the TVxB scraper, and the embedded DVB guide data. It is only the last type of recurring entry that has vanished; those that came from the DVB terrestrial data directly.

The guide is correct. All the entries are there, viewable and recordable. The entries are also still visible in the "recurring recordings" list. They have simply vanished from the pending list, and are no longer set to record.

While I am at it, I have a similar problem, more frequently but on a lesser scale. Every so often, one instance of a recurring show will vanish from the pending list, and thus fail to record. Usually, if I check the same series the next day or week, it is still set to record; only the one episode disappears.

Although only used in North America I think, have you got "don't record duplicates" ticked on the config sources screen?
The only other thing I can think of is spelling mistake with your EPG provider? Without logs and show names it is all a bit of a guess.

I unticked "duplicates" after quite awhile with it on, to stop the single shows from vanishing. I don't think it made a difference. It was off when all the pending recordings vanished. I also believed in the "spelling error" theory until that happened.

By the way, another full guide update restored the pending recordings. I was wondering if this has to do with pulling guide data from different DVB tuners. I have the guide set on all three of my tuners, in case two are busy recording a show. Perhaps the data is not identical from one tuner to the next. This is a weak theory, however, as the same guide data will launch a recording from any tuner.
