I am relatively new (six months) to using firewire tuning and today for whatever reason the command line parameter I had to use changed from "-f -a4 2 {}" to "-f -a0 2 {}" Does this happen often?

I haven't had to change it in about a year of using firewire channel changing. I use channelw.exe as the executable and the -n parameter to specifically identify the device. All other settings are default. I zero pad the channel numbers and use 3 digit numbers. This is with graphrecorder as the capture device in GBPVR. A Moto DCT62xx STB (standard HD box, I think).

I've been using -f -a:4 2 {channel} for about 8 months now without ever needing to change it. The same arguments worked when I recently moved my setup to a new machine recently too.

Thanks, I'll assume I will be good for another six months, now at least now where to start. (and avoid rebooting the servers and STB countless time)

Did your provider remotely update your STB's firmware? That's the only reason I can think of. Time Warner recently flashed mine and for whatever reason the only fallout I've had is the first firewire channel change after reboot of the PC doesn't capture the first digit (working on that oddness myself, still.)
