It's no big deal, I just restart the whole system when it happens, but I thought I'd ask since it happened again tonight when I put in the new patch from this thread.
I get the exact same errors, same procedure applying patches.
I've added a note to the patch post about rebooting after installing patches, or at least to check the log. So people are warned to check for the condition, and know to shutdown when in doubt. That's good enough in my book.
