My recording worked! Now I want to burn it to DVD.

But NPVR says "No drive containing a DVD was found."

But I have TWO DVD drives, one with a blank DVD in it.

Is NPR trying to PLAY a DVD rather than burn one? So I need to use other software on my machine to burn?

Or do I need to tell it something about the DVD drives? They show up in Windows Explorer and such. I don't see drives in NPVR settings.

Thanks!

There was a 3rd-party plugin for GB-PVR that burned DVD's. Unfortunately none of the old plugins can work with N-PVR. Depending on authors' inclinations, some of the plugins may make a comeback on N-PVR.
In the meantime, yeah, you'll have to burn with some other software.

OK, thanks. I can work with that...I have burner software in several places. Not a problem, I just wasn't sure what capabilities to expect.

Is it "uncommon" to burn a .TS file to DVD, or will most burner software do that? If you're not sure, that's fine, I will find out pretty soon if Ulead or Nero or whatever on my system can do that. Say, can I specify recording format, or is .TS the only pick?

Your prompt responses are much appreciated. And more importantly, clear responses. It doesn't bother me at all that NPVR isn't a burner, but knowing that tells me to look elsewhere.

I've never found myself wanting DVD burning functionality so I've never looked into it. I typically record, watch, delete.

I'm sure there is lots of 3rd party DVD burning apps that'll take a .ts file.

Quoth sub in the NPVR release post:
Quote:Analog and Digital tv is now "all .ts, all the time". Sorry fans of third party mux filters.

Yes, .ts is standard format, I'm pretty sure Nero knows how to read it.
