NPVR finds my 2 FireDTV DVB-C tuners without problem, but when I try to scan for channels I get a dialog that says:

Unable to start device:
Device failed to start.

I've attached the log, but it's not very detailed.

Any idea what could be the problem?

OK, I manage to solve this. Uninstalled CCCC codec pack, installed SAF codec pack. Didn't help. Copied in the MpgMux.ax CLDUMP.ax and registered them with regsvr32.exe. Problem solved!

Odd. It definitely wont be using either of those. Glad you got it working anyway.

Yeah, I thought it was odd. Must have been a coincidence...

I noticed another thing, if I do a quick record of an ongoing show (encrypted) and let it record for a couple of minutes, and then cancel the recording,
it looks like the multidec connection isn't closed. I need to restart the recording service for it to disconnect.
Not that this scenario is a very common one, except when testing the installation :-)
Also a question, how can I see which channels are on the same mux (to test recording 3 simultaneous shows with 2 tuners), if that's even possible with DVB-C?

The multidec instances a cached at first use. This is done to make it quicker second time around, and since many of the multidec plugins crash if you try to unload them, and to make it easier for me.

There is nothing in the UI that'll show you this. ie, it'll schedule the recording if it can, but if it cant then it'll tell you no tuners are available.

If you go into the device setup, you can see which channels are on the same frequency.
