Audio bit rate.

Any attempt to set an audio bit rate below 192 causes it to go over 400. I'm using a PVR150 and GBPVR 1-4-7.

Any ideas please?

are you sure it's actually that bitrate and not just misreported?

are you picking the bitrate from the list? [setting your own number may cause it to take default highest bitrate]
have you checked the direct.ini section at top for bitrates? the bitrates in list correspond to numbers in .ini, like 11 for 224k, 10 for 192k, etc...
don't set the actual bitrate in direct.ini....

AUDIOBITRATE is 4 (64k) in direct.ini, but nothing I do will bring the audio bitrate below 225kbps. I'm converting to a transport stream and using an analyser to find the bitrates.

What effect does AUDIOCOMPRESSION have?

Does the audio bitrate add to the other bitrate, or is it part of it?
