How do I force NPVR to see that I have a dual tuner?

How do I force NPVR to see that I have a dual tuner?

I'm running N-PVR 1.5.33 and had two USB DVB-T tuners working,
a Nova-T and a cheap generic one.
These showed up in the Devices window as :
WinTV Nova-T Stick DVB-T Tuner (Dev1 Path0)
USB DVB-T TV Tuner

Today I got a dual tuner to replace the generic one, its a Nova-TD stick (model no. 01273)
That shows up in the Devices window as
Hauppauge WinTV MOD7700 DVB-T Tuner (Dev2 Path0)
I expected it to show up twice. There doesn't seem to be a way of telling NPVR that it should look for another tuner.

As the new tuner came with a CD, I used that to update the drivers and re-boot the machine.
The old listings in the device window are still there but show NO in the PRESENT column.
The two new listings are:
Hauppauge WinTV MOD7700 DVB-T Tuner (Dev1 Path0)
WinTV Nova-T Stick DVB-T Tuner (Dev2 Path0)
i.e. still only two tuners showing.
I have restarted NPVR after every attempt to change anything.

I have searched in the forums but can only find how to configure dual tuners in GB-PVR, nothing which applies to NPVR.

What am I doing wrong?

I think this is something Sub has to look at when he returns, in the meantime tou could check online if there is newer drivers to be found, and run Filtercheck.exe and post Filtercheck.log here along with npvr.log after watching the devices screen.

With mine I had to go into the Hauppauge WinTV menu and use the diversity tool to set it to Use Dual Tuner Mode.

Yep, it sounds like you need to find the Diversity Tool installer (it'll be on the CD) and run that. Then you'll be able to pick between diversity mode (shows up as one tuner and tries to use the inputs from two *separate* aerials to improve the signal) or normal dual tuner mode. The drivers always install in diversity mode by default. A reboot is required after changing the setting.

That seems to have done the trick. Thank you very much.
