Streaming Services with NPVR

I thought I had seen where streaming services can be used with NPVR including recording. I am now unable to find any information whether this is possible let alone which services work or how to do this.

Am I wrong on this?

You need to be more specific on the type of streaming service you mean. Also do you mean v4 or v5?

Version 4

I am currently looking at Locast.org. I have one show in particular, Archie Bunker's Place, that I would like to record. Although there were 4 seasons only season 1 has been released on DVD. If the other 3 were released on DVD then I would worry about it. If anybody else knows of a way that I can record the other 3 seasons I am open to suggestions.

V4 only has IPTV support but there is a locast.org Extra device for v5 which basically gives you locast as tuner.  Here is my search from locast in v5

I am not 100% ready to give up Version 4, but I did install version 5 just to be able to use locast. It is set up and ready to use and recording has also been setup we'll see how that goes.
